Blackjack
Blackjack originates from France and is one the most popular casino games in the world. The main objective is to get as close to 21 without going over while still beating the dealer's hand. This is done by counting up the value of the cards in your hand. There is a 6 deck shoe in our Blackjack game. All cards numbered 2 through 10 are at face value. All face cards are valued at 10 while an ace is valued at either 1 or 11 at the player's discretion. Hands containing an ace valued at 11 are considered to be "soft" hands (i.e. A, 6 is a soft 17), while hands containing an ace valued at 1 are considered "hard" hands (i.e. A, 6, Q is a hard 17). A Blackjack hand is an ace and card valued at 10 (10, J, Q, K). A two-card Blackjack always beats three or more cards, which equal 21.Before receiving any cards the player must place a wager. Once the wager is made the player is dealt 2 cards face up. The dealer is also dealt two cards, one face up and the other face down. The dealer's "hole" card remains face down until the players have completed their hands. At this point the dealer turns over his hole card. If his hand totals a hard 17 through 21 he must stand. If his hand is 16 or under, the dealer must continue to take cards until either his hand is over 16 or "bust" (which means over 21). The dealer must hit on a soft 16.
Object of the Game
To attain a hand with a value closer to 21 than the dealers
hand without exceeding it. Note that we use a 6-deck shoe.
Blackjack Terms
To play your hand in Blackjack there are a number of terms
used exclusively in this game that you should know. Remember
that you are trying to build a hand as close to 21 without
exceeding that limit.
Hit:
This is to request another card
Stand:
Stand is to be satisfied with your hand and refuse another
card.
Double Down:
A Double Down bet lets you double your initial wager. The
bet is placed after the first two cards are dealt. Only
place a Double Down bet when you are reasonably sure you
will only need one more card to win. To place a Double Down
bet, click on the DOUBLE bar. Your bet will be placed automatically
and you will be dealt one last card. Your hand will always
consist of only three cards when Doubling Down.
Split:
If you are dealt two cards of identical value you can split
them into two new hands of one card each by clicking on
the SPLIT bar. Each hand would then be played out in turn.
You may only split a hand once. The wager placed on each
new hand will be equal to the original bet. You may double
down on one or both of the new hands. When Aces are split
only one card will be dealt to each hand. A split hand resulting
in Blackjack pays out a ratio of 1-1 rather than the normal
3-2.
Insurance:
Insurance gives you a chance to protect yourself from the
dealers Blackjack.
If the dealers card is an Ace, there is the possibility of a Blackjack. When this happens you will be asked whether youd like to buy insurance. If you believe the dealer has Blackjack you can buy insurance to protect yourself. To insure yourself you must pay an amount equal to half your initial wager for that hand. If the dealer gets Blackjack, the insurance will pay 2-1, which equals your original bet. If you have insured yourself and the dealer does not obtain Blackjack, then you lose your insurance but retain your original wager.
TO BEGIN
Before receiving any cards, you must place a wager.
1.
Select $1, $5, $10, $25, or $100 chips by clicking the appropriate
denomination at the bottom of your screen . Make sure your
total wager is greater than the Minimum Bet for the table.
2.
After this selection, continue to place your bet by clicking
within the player's circle. You may play up to 3 separate
hands at a time.
3.
The minimum and maximum bet amounts apply to each individual
hand - you can play 3 hands, each at the maximum bet level.
The maximum bet refers to your initial bet ONLY because
the total bet per hand may exceed the maximum bet due to
Splitting or Doubling Down.
Note: To retract a bet, just right-click on the chips and your wager amount will be reduced by the amount of the selected chip.
LETS PLAY
